About GBV Programme:
CERID is implementing a one year Environment project entitled ““Developing the
capacity of women and youths to promote smokeless fuel from waste biomass to
reduce carbon emission whilst enhancing better livelihood through conservation and
micro-enterprises development in Koboko district, West Nile region” funded by UNDP
Uganda Country Office Climate Action Challenge – NDC Support Programme-Kampala.
CERID is here by seeking to recruit a competent candidate to conduct training on
Briquettes making and production from waste biomass to women and youths in Koboko
District.

Objectives:
The main objective of the assignment is to develop a simple training manual /
facilitators guide and conduct training on briquettes making and production from waste
biomass in Koboko District.

Key Task:
The trainer is expected to conduct training on briquettes making and production from
waste biomass for 25 women and youths for two (2) days in Koboko District.

The specific tasks and responsibilities are as follows:
 Develop a simple training Manual and activity based facilitator’s guide on
briquettes making and production from waste biomass.
 Conduct training of 25 women and youth for two (2) days on briquettes
making and production from waste biomass
 Any other duty as assigned by CERID regarding the assignment.

Expected output:
 Final methodology and training guide / manual.
 Action plan developed
 Training conducted
 Report written in time

Reporting.
The trainer will work under the overall guidance of the CERID Executive Director and
Livelihoods project Manager. CERID will provide any other necessary support that
will facilitate the training and the trainer will present the final reports to CERID.

Trainer Skills and Experience Required
 At least 1 years of practical experience on briquettes making and production
from waste biomass.
 1 year of experience in related training interventions or relevant field
particularly in Environment conservation.
 Adequate facilitation and training skills
 Have some understanding of local languages
 Strong documentation and presentation skills
