Who We Are

Our Background

From the Executive Director: CERID was founded in 2017 with the aim of empowering the community for self-reliance. Starting from humble beginnings, CERID is an indigenous NGO with a mandate to operate in any part of Uganda with Reg No. 2913 and Permit No. 9094. As a local initiative CERID was formed to focus on the most vulnerable groups in the society especially the Children, Women and Youths in areas of Community Health; Protection and Psychosocial Support; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); Education; Resilient Livelihoods & Skills Development; Sustainable Agriculture; and Environment and Climate Management for increased access to socio-economic services for effective and sustainable poverty eradication.
